Every talented musician knows that the piano is one of the best instruments to play, but private lessons can be a time-consuming, costly obstacle. Mahalo’s Learn Piano app makes playing look like a daunting feat made easy. You’ll never need a private lesson to rock at piano again!

“Go Tell It On the Mountain” is slightly more involved of a song to play than “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” because the five-finger position is spread out for most of the song, and the position shifts several times throughout the melody. The first shift is at the end of the first phrase when you leap up to the B with your 2nd finger and the D and E keys with your 4th and 5th fingers. The last shift is at the end of the song, when you land your 4th finger on the C, then descend down, ending on the G with your 1st finger. This hand position starts on the D, a half step above middle C, and extends to the E over an octave above.
